A Note From Beacon Hill's President, Bill Pritchard
As we head into the fourth quarter of 2023, we will look at how businesses may handle a pollution crisis – taking into account that the word “crisis” may be widely interpreted. There have been several high-profile pollution-related tragedies this year, many of them doing irreparable harm to the environment, people, and wildlife.
Whether it’s media relations, medical costs, evacuation management, or other types of crisis consulting, there are insurance carriers who can help companies minimize and manage a pollution related loss. This issue of The Summit is dedicated to coverage for pollution-related crises, along with a discussion of how insureds can offset their risk with loss control measures. It’s crucial for agents to have these “what if” conversations with their clients, and environmental insurance needs to be part of that discussion.
As always, we thank you for reading this publication, and for being a partner as we finish out the year.
