For this edition of The Summit we chose to focus on the environmental issues faced by healthcare facilities. The last few years have proven to be complicated for hospitals, medical offices, and other healthcare related insureds -- the reason for this not only involves the fragile state of a post-pandemic world, but also living in a time in which people are more educated and interested in healthcare operations running in an environmentally responsible manner. Indoor air quality, medical waste handling, and spills are just a few of the concerns these facilities may face.

Pollution insurance has become an important part of risk management strategies for healthcare insureds. How carriers see these risks, and offer coverage, is an important conversation to have with these clients.
